Digital photography offers lots of opportunities to spend money and time "tuning" your photographs. It is a rewarding hobby but in no time at all you get thousands of pictures.

 

These have to be carefully stored away on your computer system and be easily located. Usually two versions are kept of each photo, one the original and the other the improved version.

 

Photographs are improved by software, the most common being Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. There are many other options available.

 

Printing is best done by specialised software such as QImage.

Rob Galbraith is a working photojournalist with a penchant for testing things.
