Romsey District

Home Up

We lived in Romsey area for 19 years up to November 2004.  It's a beautiful spot about 70 kilometres north of Melbourne and is at 500 metres. Where we lived the house is at 680 metres. The area was once noted for its timber and the deep red soil was suitable for potatoes. These days it is mainly a sheep and cattle area.

We kept sheep for a while but it was really too cold for the lambs that were always born in the coldest season.

Here are some pictures to let you know what the area is like.
